In addition to his technical and entrepreneurial skills, Mr. Lathan is an active member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and is a partner with the Canadian Home Security Association. He is also a registered authority under the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Canada, where he has gained recognition for his professionalism and deep understanding of financial services.
As a Sri Lankan by heritage, Mr. Lathan has always had a strong desire to give back to his roots and share his extensive knowledge from the Canadian real estate and mortgage financing industry with Sri Lanka. His passion for empowering communities and improving access to real estate opportunities has led him to introduce the global RE/MAX brand to Jaffna. Together with his partner, Mrs. Puvaneswary Varatharasa, Mr. Lathan aims to revolutionize the real estate market in Jaffna, providing residents with unparalleled expertise, opportunities, and access to the world’s strongest real estate brand.

Mrs. Puvaneswary Varatharasa brings nearly 22 years of invaluable experience in management to her role at RE/MAX North Realty. With a strong educational background in advanced-level studies and accounting, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of business operations, finance, and leadership.
Prior to joining RE/MAX, Mrs. Varatharasa served as the Cooperative Branch Manager at Tellippalai MPCS for over two decades, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, managing operations and ensuring the success of the branch. Her extensive experience in the cooperative sector has honed her ability to navigate complex business environments and manage large teams effectively.
Now, as a key member of the RE/MAX team, Mrs. Varatharasa has partnered with Mr. Lathan Varatharajah to introduce the global real estate powerhouse to Jaffna.
